One day at a time

5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:5-7

Knitting frenzy

I have taught myself to knit! So far I can do the knit stich and the purl stich. I have been making scarves and rectangles. Here are a few of my projects:

My first project - a boa using Bernat Disco © fiber - stiched in knit garter stich.

my second project - another scarf using Lion Brand Homespun © fiber.

I made this little hand bag using Caron Jewel Box © Deep Jasper and the Stockenette stich. I decorated with a bead strand from Joann's Fabrics © This was my first attempt at following a pattern. I used one of those free patterns from Caron.

My most recent project completed was using Moda-Dea Tutu Fiber (#17 needles) that I got at Michaels © for a great deal! I made a rectangle using a stockinette stich and then stiched cylinders in the ends for arms and made a trendy Shrug! I love it!

I am in the process of trying to learn to knit with 3 needles - so far I have not been doing too well but... we will see.....

I only started knitting Dec 11th so I am on "frenzy mode"
