One day at a time

5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:5-7

SCHOOL STARTS

School starts in our district today. I am unsure why they are starting so early but I guess it's because they will get out earlier and with snow days to come that makes sense. The younger guy starts 8th grade at the public school and the older one will be taking two classes at the H.S. and the rest he will be homeschooling. He will be using Alpha Omega Switched on Schoolhouse for two subjects this year. This is our first time with a "real" curriculum on CD-rom. It will be nice for Matt to have concise lessons and nice for me to not have to write up lessons.

Blue Ribbon Winner County Fair

I won a blue ribbon for hand quilted (and hand pieced) wall hanging quilt at our local county fair. What fun! I also won for 10 antique items I had entered in the antique portion of the fair. My son won the opportunity to go to state (as an alternate) for his visual arts paper project. We had a great fair this year!
